Designed for Speed and Quick Scoring
Total Ball was designed for speed, dynamic play transition, and quick turnaround scoring... a complete sports spectacle to play and watch. And it is, first and foremost, designed to allow men and women to play together competitively. It is the historic birth of a sport which by its very nature will transform the world of athletics as we know it.
"A universal sport in which men and women participate together equally celebrating good will"
Jose Marcelino Garcia Blanco - inventor of Total Ball
Just when you thought all was said and done in sports, something comes along that redefines everything... Total Ball. A sport that has virtually no limitation... constant movement from one end of the field to the other; and furthermore, men and women can play together in competitive fashion with no one having advantage over the other. At first glance, Total Ball seems to have the essence of many sports such as basketball, football, rugby and soccer, yet it is very much distinct from any of them. Total Ball is an all-encompassing sport with universal appeal which cuts across gender, culture, and social class. The concept is so basic that it can catch-on with people around the world instantly. It took James Naismith's basketball, since its invention in 1891, 45 years to become an Olympic sport. In today's internet dynamic world there is no limitation on how fast and how far a new innovative idea like Total Ball can go.
Total Ball is played on a football or soccer field, which you find everywhere, and uses a soccer ball which is readily available. The object is to put the ball through the "ring-goal" which is found on both ends of the field. The ball can be carried with any part of the body. The only basic rule is that the ball must be in constant motion therefore it cannot be held or gripped. It is precisely this constant movement without limitations that makes for very creative and dynamic play in a high-scoring eye-opening spectacle.
It is history in the making. The birth of a new world sport with enormous potential in new sports apparel, marketing and advertising. And more importantly, a great vehicle for fomenting and celebrating the true egalitarian and humanitarian spirit of sport for generations to come.
